New TGH system lives!

in ~ list info

At long last, the new system is ready.  Due to ISP spam issues  I will not be mass moving the list – if you want to keep reading the tips you will have to do one of the things explained below.  Tips will be sent from the new system to the old for at least a month, so you don’t have to act immediately, and if you move to the new system you will get tips from the old system if you don’t unsubscribe.

There are now four ways to read the Generous Husband Tips – Full text E-mail, Reminder e-mail with a link, RSS feed, or read them on-line.

The new system allows readers to comment on posts, and/or rate posts.  To post comments or rate you must register.

E-MAIL:

To receive tips daily by e-mail, register for this blog. BE SURE to check the box to receive email notifications! You will receive an e-mail with your password .

The default method of receiving the tips via e-mail is full tips in HTML format. If you desire text format, or to receive only a reminder with a link, log-in via the link sent in your registration e-mail, click on “subscriptions” under the “profile” tab.

RSS

For RSS feed, go here.

Read On-line

The main page of this blog always shows the last week of tips, with the most recent on top.

To unsubscribe from the old system

If you receive Full E-mails

Go here
If you know your password – enter your e-mail and password, click “Log in” and unsub on the next page.  You are done.
If you do not know your password – enter your e-mail and click on the “Unsubscribe” button – THEN click the link in the confirmation e-mail that will be sent to you.
Or – Enter your e-mail and use the “Reminder” button to receive your password via e-mail and unsub as above.

If you receive E-mails with links

Go here
If you know your password – enter your e-mail and password, click “Log in” and unsub on the next page.  You are done.
If you do not know your password – enter your e-mail and click on the “Unsubscribe” button – THEN click the link in the confirmation e-mail that will be sent to you.
Or – Enter your e-mail and use the “Reminder” button to receive your password via e-mail and unsub as above.

Yeah, I can echo the sentiment on the Header font... might want to trade it in for something a little more masculine (less girly than curly)... if you'd like I've got photoshop/illustrator, + some skills if you want to go along with the Medieval/Chivalry theme. I've not produced a Wordpress theme, but I can look into it if you like. I'm working on our church's website in Joomla currently, but I'm sure you have lots of various talents you could crowd source for...

Ace61 - absolutely, thanks. Africord - I have added the XML link. I'll have to do some research on all the options. prov9_18_19 - If you mean the main banner, that was something I threw together just to get it running, it will be changed. I would like something Gothic/Medieval sparquay - It is my hope and prayer that this will be far more interactive, as that will be a much greater blessing to all! Snuggle Muffin - And congratulations to you & LM!

thanks for the information on how to switch. I managed to do so successfully. Looks like this might be a system that will bless all and instigate conversation between your readers.

Looks good. I've always thought that having comments (if we subscribers exercise discretion) would be great.

Great step for you guys. Only one thing I really don't like so far. That font in the header. Is there any way you could pick a more masculine font? I don't think you mean to imply that being generous reduces our masculinity. ;)

Paul, The new blog looks GREAT! Thanks for your work. Subcribers may want to change their passwork to one they create (and can remember) by going to the profile tab.
