How you say it

in Communication, Encouragement

© Pressmaster | Dreamstime.comHow you say something to your bride can be as important, and often more important, than what you say. Take the fellow in the picture to the right for example – even if he is expressing his deep love, I suspect the victim recipient of his words is more annoyed than blessed.

Likewise for tone of voice – especially sarcasm. Don’t communicate something that is at odds with the meaning of your words because you are tired or annoyed – listen to how your words sound.

One more – eye contact. This is usually far more important to women than it is to men. Not making eye contact can easily come across as “you’re not important enough for me to look away from what I am doing.”

Hey – didn’t you do this tip recently? Yes – but did you make any changes?
