Talk while you walk

Most of us would benefit from more walking, and most marriages would benefit from more talking.  So why not get double the benefit and walk with your wife.

I realise that you may walk significantly faster than your wife – meaning if you get a real work out, she will be left panting.  So some options:

  • Do leisurely waking when you walk together.  You get some fitness benefit, and a lot of marriage benefit.
  • As above, then drop her off and some faster walking for your health.
  • Have her set a pace that is a good work out for her. Do your talking during warm up and cool down.
  • Do some serious walking yourself then have her join you when you slow down.


Or the other way. My wife is in better shape than I am.
