Three words

in Good Marriage

Today I read Chris Brogan’s My 3 Words for 2010, and I like it!  In short, each year Chris comes up with three words that he will “use as guidance for how I should conduct my efforts in the year to come”.  This is a goal-setting tool, a way of focusing and looking forward. If followed through the year, it would help you stay on task, and could greatly improve your success at accomplishing your goals.

Chris is primarily writing about work/business, but I think we can use the three word concept in many ways.  I am going to come up with three words in more than one area of my life. At the very least these will include my marriage, my walk with the Lord, and my goals for our marriage ministry (the last will be three words my bride and I come up with together).  My next task is to find a way to keep these words in front of myself. I need to learn to think about them daily, and use them to check if I am on track or wandering off course.

Please use the comments section (on-line) to discuss this and other ways you do planning and goal setting.
