Women’s Meeting

in Her Needs, Understanding Her

Each Thursday my bride goes to women’s meeting/Bible study. I know she looks forward to it, and to the chance to give, receive, bless and be blessed. I also know that I can’t give her what she gets from this group.

If your bride is not part of such a gathering, be on the lookout for an opportunity for her to become a part of such a group.  You will both benefit.

My wife - mother of 2-and-a-half, attends a bi-weekly MOPS group, and I feel the same way. It's a great outlet for her, and the fellowship with other moms is crucial and irreplaceable. Conversely, I attend a Tuesday night men's Bible study, where I'm on the younger end of a spectrum ranging from low 30's to mid 50's. It's a wonderful group, and a highlight of my week.

My wife leads 2 such bible studies. One important thing that I have learned is to listen to her when she comes home from them. She is usually excited about what God is teaching her and the other ladies. It is important for me to really listen to her because she is so excited about them.
