What do you need from me?

in Acts of Service

My bride and I often ask each other “What do you need from me today/this week/before we leave for our trip?” The answers are things that the one being asked can’t do (because of strength, skill or knowledge) or things the asker does better, of things the asker usually does in the marriage.

This question helps the one asking it to know what is expected of them, and allows them to plan their time. It also shows a respect for the needs of the one being asked. As long as you are both good at doing what you agree to do, this makes life flow better.
