What Do You Want?

What do want in and from your marriage? What’s important to you, and what do you need to feel good about your marriage?

Why not make a list of these things. Spend some time thinking and listing what you want in your marriage.

Once that’s done, go over the list prayerfully. Are there things on the list which are not God’s best for you? Are there things on there which are not fair to your wife? What’s just plain selfish, and what’s unreasonable given your lives right now?

It can be enlightening and helpful to make and examine a list of your marriage desires every couple of months.

As I have learned Paul, questions are the answer. Ask the right question and the resultant answer paves the way to what's better or what's best. Jesus was masterful at asking questions. I aim to ask better questions every day of God, of myself, of my wife and of my family. Great questions can transform lives.
