1001! © Paul H. ByerlyThis is my one thousand and first post here since moving to WordPress.

In many ways this blog is like a marriage. To do it right, I have to show up every day* – no matter how I feel, no matter how it went yesterday, and no matter how I expect to do. Some days are better than others are; some days are great, and some days stink. Some days are new and exciting, while others feel like reruns. We should look back to learn from our mistakes, but if we focus too much on the past we can’t do any good today. Finally, it’s good to celebrate mile stones.

So hang in there in your marriage. Just showing up is not enough, but it’s a necessary start, and it’s more than some men are doing.

*My commitment here is to post daily. Most others post less often and I am not suggesting they should post daily or that I am better because I post more often.
