Are You Ready? 2014 Marriage Upgrade

I’ve mentioned this several times now. The last time around I got a few emails saying “I’m in, what do I do?”

  1. Make a personal commitment to do this, to stick with it even when it looks hopeless. Determine to give your marriage 365 days of effort.
  2. Accept that you will fail – more than once. Choose now to forgive yourself and keep going.
  3. Become a student of your wife. She is unique, and while I can give you some general direction, you will have to figure out what she most wants and needs from you.

If you commit to this there is a very good chance you will have a happier marriage and a more fulfilling sex life a year from now. What do you have to lose?

Six Days Left!:  We are at the 70% mark with six days to go. Can you help?

  1. I only discovered this blog yesterday, and I’ve read over 40 posts! I really can’t tell you how miraculous God’s timing is when He answers prayers!  While my marriage isn’t “bad” by most definitions (it’s actually quite good), there is definitely room for improvement.  I will absolutely commit to this “research project” with you.

  3. My husband is interested in doing this. (Yay!!!) Is there a sign-up process? Will the survey links be posted in your blog, or are they going to be sent through email?

Is there anything wives can do (in addition to praying) to help their husbands out with this?

  4. Paul,

Count me in! I think on a previous comment, I mentioned this but I want to express it again. To Jameslancaster, you have “stumbled” unto one of the best resources you can find on the net. Paul does a grand job of encouraging and sometimes giving us  a slight kick in the pants to guide us to being better husbands.

Spend some time at his other site as well, TheMarriageBed.com and look around. There are some forums which others get involved. Be warned they do not hold back where you need to be challenged!

Also check out the http://www.upliftingmarriage.com/   and look through some of the other members.

Paul is one of the great leaders championing marriage.

  5. I’m in! Let’s do this! I already have a couple of things planned to work on!
